Support for Building a National and Progressive Care System in Mexico

The objective of this programmatic series (hereinafter, the "Program") is to improve the quality of life of individuals who require and provide care, specifically by enhancing early childhood development outcomes, reducing dependency rates among older persons, and improving the economic conditions of caregivers, who are predominantly women. The specific objectives are to: (i) develop the institutional framework of the National and Progressive Care System (SNPC); (ii) strengthen the coordination and quality of care services for early childhood; (iii) strengthen the provision of services for the prevention of dependency among older persons; and (iv) strengthen caregiving skills and provide economic recognition for women's care work.
