This is the second and final operation in a programmatic series of two operations, the overall objective of which is to strengthen public finances by increasing tax revenues and controlling public spending. This will be achieved by: (i) improving the design and administration of the policy on hydrocarbon revenues; (ii) increasing the exchange of financial information with other countries for tax purposes; and (iii) enhancing the efficiency of public expenditure and controlling its growth.
