Development of Climate Resilient Strategies and Action Plan for the Forest Sector under the National Forest Management & Conservation Plan (NFMCP)

The objective of this TC is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Forestry Department to plan, implement, and monitor climate-resilient strategies through the revision of the National Forest Management and Conservation Plan (NFMCP) (2027-2037), integrating robust adaptation and mitigation measures, climate-smart actions, sustainable financing, and results-based monitoring and evaluation. Equally, the TC seeks to create an inclusive and enabling environment for sustainable forest sector growth and development, fostering investment and innovation that align with national & international development goals, while safeguarding biodiversity and ecosystem services.
