JA-T1061 : Study tour of Jamaican Farmers to Dominican Republic

The Objective of this TC-INTRA is to share the experiences developed in DR and to accelerate the capacity building program of both NIDP staff and the WUA management committee and member farmers as follows: To acquaint the managerial, technical and administrative staff of the NIDP, and the WUA leadership and stakeholder farmers, with the best functional practices for the development, management and maintenance of the irrigation water systems To visit and learn about the advance technologies in the operation of water systems, as well as data collection, rate setting, social engineering and customer relations, community contracting, water regulations, business development and operations.
