Support for strengthening macro-fiscal management and public spending in Honduras

The overall objective of this technical cooperation is to support efforts to strengthen macrofiscal management and improve the efficiency of public spending. This will be achieved by: (i) identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement in macro-fiscal management and public spending; (ii) strengthening the regulatory and technical frameworks applicable to macro-fiscal management and public spending; and (iii) enhancing the technical capacities of SEFIN and other responsible entities in macro-fiscal management and public spending. To that end, it will fund the development of diagnostic studies, methodologies, and proposals for strengthening these areas; support their implementation; and carry out activities for knowledge transfer and the exchange of experiences. These actions will contribute to strengthening fiscal sustainability and the quality of public spending.
