Support for the Modernization of National Environmental Impact Evaluation System
The main objective of this technical cooperation is to contribute to the implementation of a new EIA model in Honduras. The specific objectives are (i) develop a manual of the new EIA process that serves as a methodological guide of the work of SERNA's personnel and diminishes the discretionarily of the environmental analysts and that allows for technical support in legal resolutions, (ii) develop a norm for the accreditation of environmental service providers, and (iii) elimination of the lag in the environmental licensing process, so as to make the transition to the next model with a minimum amount of lag time.
