HO-M1038 : Promoting Sustainable Business Models for Clean Cookstoves Dissemination

The objective of this project is to increase access to and affordability of improved cookstoves in Honduras to address the myriad social, health, environmental and economic impacts associated with traditional cookstoves with a long-term objective and vision for reaching universal access. Specifically, the project will establish a national program for scaling up the market for improved cookstoves in Honduras that will seek to enhance demand, strengthen supply, fill in knowledge and research gaps, develop or scale up business models for the different market segments (rural, urban and industrial), establish national standards, certification schemes and testing protocols, and create national and regional networks of stove building companies and organizations.
