Towards a more inclusive education: “Transforming the Rural School”

The general objective (GO) of the program is to support the Government of Honduras to increase access and improve education in targeted rural areas. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the demand for services through incentives for students in vulnerable conditions, (ii) to strengthen the supply of services through the improvement of school infrastructure and innovative alternative programs; (iii) to facilitate the reintegration and educational permanence of returned migrant children and youth, guaranteeing their access adapted to their needs and context, (iv) to strengthen teacher training strategies for the development of foundational and 21st century skills, and (v) to strengthen the institutional capacity of SEDUC for the monitoring and administration of the educational system.
