Program to Support Social Protection Reforms II
The development objective of this programmatic series is to support the adoption of policy measures conducive to a reduction in extreme poverty among households in Honduras, through the design and implementation of policies to improve the financial sustainability and efficiency of redistributive social protection spending, with an emphasis on human capital formation for children and adolescents, consolidation of the basic social welfare service offerings in health and education as a complement to redistributive programs, and strengthening of governance in information management and coordination capacity in the social sector. The objective of this second operation is to support the implementation of legal instruments approved during the first operation, thereby contributing to the objectives of the series. This operation was designed as a programmatic policy-based loan (PBP) and is the second of a series of two individual operations
