Programmatic Support for Structural Reforms in the Electricity Sector. Third Loan
The general objective of the programmatic series and specifically from the third and last programmatic operation is to support the Government of Honduras in implementing the sector reforms and policies needed to enhance financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and security of supply in the electricity sector. The specific objectives are to: (i) strengthen the sector, institutional capacity and regulatory framework; (ii) enhance financial sustainability and operational efficiency; and (iii) adopt energy policies aimed at ensuring a secure supply of electricity. The Operation is aligned with the IDB -Country strategy to improve the efficiency of the power sector.
