Bringing Higher Value Apparel Manufacturing to Haiti

The objective of the Project is to demonstrate the feasibility of introducing an alternative model for apparel manufacturing in Haiti that radically departs from the prevailing paradigm of low-cost production of commodity garments. The Project will (i) train the local workforce to produce higher-end apparel utilizing the latest manufacturing technologies; (ii) adhere to superior social (and environmental) standards: (iii) share economic benefits with employees and host communities; and (iv) seek to produce greater value-added for Haiti.
