Tackling Food Insecurity and Fostering Resilience through Safety Net for Vulnerable Populations

The general objective of the operation is to address food insecurity among vulnerable populations in Haiti by improving access to food and to increase the use of preventive and essential health services. The specific objectives are: (i) contribute to food security and climate resilience through transfers conditional to community-driven cash-for-work programs; (ii) improve access to healthcare through increased supply of and use of preventive and essential healthcare services incentivized by transfers; and (iii) strengthen the institutional capacity of the government to target the most vulnerable through the expansion of SIMAST, and manage social protection interventions through the use of Commcare.
