Capacity Building for creating Sustainable and Resilient School Infrastructure in Guyana

The objective of the TC is to support the Ministry of Education by providing technical and operational assistance for the successful implementation of the loan operation GY-L1079. The TC resources will specifically fund essential activities to modernize Guyana's education sector and facilitate its digital transformation. These activities include: (i) establishing a strategic partnership with CEIBAL (Uruguay) to develop a procurement strategy for student and teacher devices, define technical specifications and usage guidance by grade level, and create maintenance and repair systems; (ii) expanding the Education Management Information System (EMIS) through capacity building for data-driven decision-making; and (iii) offering targeted support for project management, monitoring and evaluation, and communication campaigns.
