GY-L1043 : Strengthening of the Environment Sector II
Project Status: Closed
The operation has three objectives: (i) support the practical application of the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS), which was revised and improved in 2013, by guiding national investment towards sectors that have been prioritized under such Strategy; (ii) strengthen the position of the MNRE in relation to subsectors over which the MNRE has direct responsibility through the setting of institutional mechanisms devoted to unify institutional strategies aligned with MNRE policies and the highest international standards; and (iii) consolidate the operation of the Monitoring, Rporting and Verification System (MRVS) as the main instrument for the generation of information and data associated to the fulfillment of LCDS and MNRE Strategic Plan objectives and targets.
