Strengthening Institutional Capacities of SEGEPLAN for the Management of the Cross-Cutting Strategic Systems of Planning, Public Investment, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Guatemala

The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the functioning of the cross-cutting systems for planning, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E) of SEGEPLAN in Guatemala, and their linkage with the public pre-investment and investment systems. The aim is to promote coordinated operation among these systems, facilitating the integration of national, sectoral, and institutional planning instruments with the national budget. This will improve the government's capacity to implement its priorities and execute the budget through procedures and tools that enable more effective monitoring of public plans, programs, and projects, as well as the mainstreaming of practices for results evaluation and public spending quality.
