Strengthening Institutional Capacities of SEGEPLAN for the Management of the Cross-Cutting Strategic Systems of Planning, Public Investment, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Guatemala

Strengthen the functioning of the transversal planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems of SEGEPLAN of Guatemala and their link with the pre-investment and public investment systems, in order to promote a coordinated operation between said systems that facilitates the integration of national, sectoral and institutional planning instruments with the national budget, improving the implementation capacities of government priorities and budget execution, through procedures and tools that allow more effective monitoring of public plans, programs and projects, and the generalization of practices for evaluating results and the quality of public spending.
