Strengthening Institutional Capacities of SEGEPLAN for the Management of the Cross-Cutting Strategic Systems of Planning, Public Investment, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Guatemala

The general objective of this (TC) is to strengthen the functioning of Guatemala's SEGEPLAN cross-cutting planning, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E) systems and their linkages with pre-investment and public investment systems, in order to promote coordinated operation between these systems, facilitating the integration of national, sectoral, and institutional planning instruments with the national budget. This will improve the capacity to implement government priorities and execute the budget through procedures and tools that enable more effective monitoring of public plans, programs, and projects, and the widespread adoption of practices for evaluating results and the quality of public spending.
