WAYFREE Expansion: Impacting Guatemala's Digital Transformation

The main objective of the project is to drive a second phase of expansion of the free internet network of Wayfree to underserved municipalities in Guatemala, promoting the productive use of the internet, including educational, commercial, and other resources. This phase aims to provide free internet access in Guatemala, focusing on covering the remaining 125 municipalities that still lack adequate connectivity. This project seeks not only to reduce the digital divide but also to improve the quality of life for vulnerable communities, particularly in rural and low-income urban areas. With this expansion, the project aligns with key indicators such as increased connectivity, economic development through support for SMEs and local entrepreneurs, and improvements in education by facilitating access to online educational and commercial platforms.
