Support for the development of care policies in Guatemala

The objective of Technical Cooperation (TC) is to contribute to strengthening social protection policies and programs aimed at dependent populations in Guatemala, with emphasis on early childhood and people with disabilities (PwD). Specifically, the TC will support the Secretariat of Social Welfare of the Presidency of the Republic (SBS) and the Secretariat of Social Works of the Wife of the President of the Republic (SOSEP) to: (i) establish the guidelines for a comprehensive care system aimed at dependent populations and the people who care for them; (ii) improve the quality and supervision of comprehensive early childhood care services offered by SBS; and (iii) design policies and plans for the social inclusion of PwD with an emphasis on the implementation of a national disability certification system.
