Guatemala-Mexico Knowledge Exchange: Forest Investment Program and Creation of the National Climate Change Fund in Guatemala

As part of the design process of the Forest Investment Program (FIP) Investment Plan for Guatemala, the government will carry out an exchange to analyze the lessons learned by the Government of Mexico during the development and implementation of its Investment Plan. The requested funds will be used to finance travel costs and per diem of six government's officials (from INAB, MAGA, SEGEPLAN, MINFIN, MARN), so that they will strengthen their knowledge and learn, in situ, from the successful Mexican experience. Additionally, the operation seeks to share the country's experience in the design and configuration of the Mexican Climate Change Fund, and discuss its potential application in the Guatemalan context.
