Preparation of the Water and Sanitation Program for Human Development
The development objective of the TC is to contribute towards the improvement of the conditions of the population in the country though the modernization of the Water and Sanitation sector, implementing an investment program that will allow the population in need accessing these important services. The specific purposes of the CT are: i) support the design of the Water and Sanitation Program for Human Development (GU-L1039), including its definition, as well as its technical, economical, financial, environmental and institutional justification; ii) produce the feasibility studies and the final designs of a sample of water and sanitation projects in rural as well as urban areas (different from Guatemala City), and iii) develop a proposal to start up the governing body for the sector, established by the government in the framework of the new National Plan for Potable Water approved by the Gabinete Específico del Agua.
