Nutrition Support Program for Poor, Indegenous Households in Quiche

The general objective of the project is to contribute to reduce malnutrition and increase income of vulnerable Quiche families in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. The strategic objective of the project is to increase availability, access and consumption by poor indigenous, rural households of rabbit meat as an affordable, sustainable and consistent source of animal protein. Additionally, the project will allow opportunities for women-generated income from the local sell of meat surpluses and handcraft products using rabbit skin/fur.
