GU-M1042 : Promoting Community Savings Groups among Rural Women in Guatemala

Project Status: Closed

The project will implement the methodology of community savings groups, which has proved to be a successful mechanism to serve the rural population living in extreme poverty, which is not normally served by MFIs, because: (i) are located in marginal areas where such institutions do not have coverage, and (i) do not meet the minimum requirements to access microcredit. With this project, systematize and disseminate MIF expects community savings methodology for replication in the region.
