Génesis Empresarial: Digital Technologies to Accelerate Rural Financial Inclusion

The project aims to increase the financial inclusion of low-income populations in Guatemala -in particular women and the indigenous and rural population - through the application of new generation financial technologies that reduce the costs and improve the quality of the financial products and services for these users. The expected result is for Genesis Empresarial to successfully implement and make available to its clients: (i) new digital financial products for credit and payments; (ii) an expanded electronic and cash payment and transaction ecosystem; and (c) support the adoption of digital financial tools by target clients.
