ES-T1166 : Community Outreach Model for the Prevention of Gender Violence

Project Status: Closed

The overall objective is to create a model of community education for the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV) based on the change of attitudes, behaviors, social norms and stereotypes linked to violence against women. This model will be operated by the Ciudad Mujer Program in Colón. The specific objectives are: i) to develop cultural adapted methods to prevent GBV in communities based on best practices around the world; and ii) to assess the effectiveness of the model of community education for the prevention of GBV through a pilot test and an impact evaluation.
