Strengthening of Higher Education in El Salvador
The objective of this TC is the improvement of the efficiency, objectivity, and efficacy of the procedures employed by the quality assurance system of higher education. The specific objectives are the following: (i) a description and diagnosis of the situation of IES in El Salvador, their evolution over the last ten years, and the principal tendencies that determine their performance; (ii) an update of the statistical information platform of the National Office of Higher Education ("Dirección Nacional de Educación Superior – DNES) of the Ministry of Education; and (iii) a revamping of the evaluation and accreditation procedures employed by the Accreditation Commission ("Comisión de Acreditación de la Calidad de la Educación Superior" – CdA), especially those related to the accreditation of academic programs that is to be undertaken shortly.
