Opportunities for the Majority (OMJ) will lend Establecimientos Ancalmo up to US$1.1 million to retrofit its plant (remodeling, purchase of machinery, and upgrading of facilities), including introduction of micronutrient powder (MNP) (¿Sprinkles¿) production under the supervision of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). The project includes a technical cooperation component to promote the use in El Salvador of locally produced MNPs and the dissemination of knowledge on improving nutrition, especially in children.
