ES-G1001 : Mesoamerican Health 2015
Project Status: Closed
MHI work aims to close the gap in health equity in Mesoamerica for those in the lowest income quintile. This will be achieved through some the following activities: an expansion in the coverage and utilization of reproductive, maternal, neonatal and child basic health (RMNCH) services (including nutrition, and immunization, reproductive health and maternal and neonatal health) for women of reproductive age and children under 5 in the lowest income quintile. Interventions to be financed through the Initiative are proven coste efective public health interventions such as increasing the numbers of skilled attended births, management of obstetric emergencies, monitoring of child growth, including neumo and rotavirus vaccines in the expanded program of immunisation
