To strengthen the institutional capacities of the National University of Loja and extend lessons learned to other strategic public universities in Ecuador, thereby enhancing their contribution to regional productive development. The specific objectives are: (i) to analyze and characterize the regional innovation ecosystems linked to the National University of Loja and other public universities, identifying gaps, key stakeholders, and opportunities to strengthen their contribution to productive development; and (ii) to strengthen the institutional capacities of the National University of Loja and other public universities to design, manage, and promote activities related to research, innovation, technology transfer, and engagement with the public and private sectors.
