Support for the Implementation and Pre-investment of the National Water Security Program
Support the implementation of the Program through: (i) improving knowledge of water resources and hydroclimatic risks in the Amazon basin region in order to refine the design of water, sanitation, stormwater drainage, and solid waste investments included in the sample of projects analyzed during Program preparation, thereby enhancing their resilience; and (ii) strengthening the technical and institutional capacities of the Development Bank of Ecuador (Banco de Desarrollo del Ecuador B.P. - BDE) and the Amazonian Autonomous Decentralized Governments (GADs) included in that sample, to generate and integrate hydroclimatic knowledge into their projects, as well as to ensure the effective participation of Indigenous Peoples and women in the formulation and management of projects financed under the Program.
