Preventing Youth Crime Involvement

The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the Government of Ecuador in strengthening citizen-centered public policy and institutional responses to prevent youth involvement in organized crime. Specifically, it aims to generate rigorous evidence by assessing the effectiveness of a series of programs implemented by the Ministries of Education and Interior to prevent adolescent recruitment by criminal organizations. The TC will assess whether these programs reduce recruitment attempts, improve school safety, and enhance educational and psychosocial outcomes for students in high-crime areas.
