Support to mitigate the energy crisis and financing of resilient electricity grids

The General Objective is to support the Government of Ecuador (GoE) in mitigating the impacts of the energy crisis on the country's productivity and competitiveness through: (i) strengthening regulation to facilitate private capital investment in the transmission sector and innovative technologies such as storage; (ii) improving the enabling environment for private investment in the generation and transmission sector; and (iii) developing a proposal for an electric market model for the country.
