Natural Capital: An alternative for the sustainable development of Yasuní

The general objective of this technical cooperation is to assess the natural capital of the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve and promote its conservation, based on the worldview and traditional approach of the Waorani Nationality of Ecuador. The specific objectives are: (i) to assess the natural capital of Yasuní and identify opportunities for sustainable development; (ii) to support the strengthening of bio-enterprises of the Waorani Nationality; and (iii) to enhance local institutional capacities for valuing natural capital and biodiversity in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
