Support to Rural Electrification Program in Ecuador
This KCP aims to assess the electrification projects for isolated areas of Ecuador already included in the Urban and Rural Electrification Program of Ecuador (FERUM) for 2011 and 2012. The specific objectives are (i) Assess technical, economical, social and environementally a set of rural electrification projects of FERUM that will be subsequently financed through a GEF Project; and (ii) increase local capacities to design, assess, monitor, evaluate and maintain electrification projects in isolated areas with renewable energies.
