Strengthening Social Security Information Systems

The main objective of the program is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the government of Honduras in order to facilitate policymaking and reform for the financing and provision of social security benefits. To achieve this objective, it is necessary to create a high-quality statistical information system through the implementation of the Longitudinal Social Protection Survey (LSPS). The LSPS will provide a thorough analysis of the current social security system in terms of coverage, efficiency, and sustainability that will serve as the foundation for future reform proposals.
