The main objective is to support the development of a foreign trade strategy under the general guidelines set forth by Ecuador's National Development Plan (NDP). Specific objectives are: (i) support the design and implementation of a national foreign trade strategy emphasizing the development of certain key subsectors of production (that are considered national priorities in the NDP); (ii) contribute to the development of the system of trade promotion, and to the institutional strengthening of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
