Solidarity Youth
The main objective of the project is to facilitate and promote the constant and significant participation of Ecuadorian youth (12-24 years old) in the development of their communities, as well as to increase quality of education of poor young Ecuadorians through the application of the learning-service methodology. The specific objectives of the proposed project are: i) strengthen non-profit organizations, youth organization leaders, teachers and city official by providing formal training in service learning methodologies and youth leadership in the area of volunteerism and service; ii) increase the quality of education through the implementation of the Paso Joven learning service methodology, engaging students in formal education and diminishing school drop outs rates ii) provide mechanism to bridge the gap between demands and supplies of volunteer services.
