Feasibility Study for Fish Aggregating Devices in Galapagos

The objective of this project is to: (a) assess the environmental, technical and socio-economic feasibility of introducing Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) as a pelagic fisheries tool in the Galapagos Marine Reserve, and (b) design a pilot project involving FADs, which will be integrated into the fisheries activities currently funded by the IDB-loan for the environmental management of the Galapagos (1274/OC-EC).
