Support for the Energy Transition and the Promotion of Investments in Ecuador´s Energy Sector
The general objective of the program is to support the efforts of the Government of Ecuador to strengthen and promote public and private investment toward a just energy transition. The specific objectives are: (i) to support the decarbonization of the energy sector by promoting non-conventional renewable energy (NCRE) sources, alternative sources of generation, energy efficiency, and demand management measures, regional integration and electric mobility; (ii) to increase the private sector participation in the provision of electricity; (iii) to advance within the process of achieving universal access to electricity; (iv) and to reduce gender gaps in the energy sector.
