Strengthening the Multi-Hazard National Early Warning System

The specific objectives of the project are: (i) strengthening the capacity to monitor threats and risk analysis associated with SAT; and (ii) improvement in the communication of the alert to the communities and strengthening of their response capacity. The achievement of these objectives will contribute to the general objective of reducing the number of people potentially affected by floods (including river overflows), landslides, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions in Ecuador, through the universal provision of accurate early warning information and the implementation of activities to strengthen community resilience capacity.
