Social Management Reform Program
The main objective of this operation is to support the ongoing institutional reform the country is implementing, emphasizing interventions in the health and education sector to achieve greater cost effectiveness in services delivery, as well as setting the pace for a radical transformation of the current social assistance sector to turn it into a social protection network, that will enable the poor to generate capacities and reach opportunities leading to poverty alleviation. Furthermore, the program will aim to make the budgeting and public investment processes in the social sectors more efficient and pave the way to achieve greater levels of decentralization of services delivery.
