Rural Access Roads II
THE GLOBAL PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM AIMS TO REFURBISH 500 KMS OF MAIN ROADS AND IMPROVE 600 KMS OF SECONDARY ROADS. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING AND TRAINING TO REACTIVATE THE SYSTEM OF MAINTENANCE PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT FOR RURAL ACCESS ROADS. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE MAINTENANCE TO NO LESS THAN 6,000 KMS OF ACCESS ROADS IN FOUR YEARS OF PROGRAM.
