Support for Stewardship and Interoperability in the Health Sector in the Dominican Republic
The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the Ministry of Health of the Dominican Republic, in the development of tools and inputs for strategic planning within the framework of the National Health Plan (PLANDES, 2030) for strengthening health care stewardship. To achieve the objective, the TC will focus on i) the diagnosis of the functions of the health system and identification of gaps; ii) development of more efficient resources allocation mechanisms through proposing a results-based financing (FBR) and human resources distribution models, and iv) supporting the integration of the health information system through the incorporation of interoperability protocols and and the creation of the national registry of human resources and health facilities.
