Support for the development of the Mobility Reform Program, Land Transportation and Road Safety in the Dominican Republic
The main objectives of this Technical Cooperation (TC) are: (i) support the development of regulations for the application of current mobility Law 63-17, (ii) structure and implement action plans aimed at the development of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUS), (iii) support the integrated collection system for urban transport, (iv) support the strengthening of the "Mobility and Transportation Trust" (FIMOVIT) as an instrument for integrating the public transport network tariff and as a mechanism for financing clean fleets (electric vehicles); and (v) strengthen the institutional capacity of the National Institute of Transit and Transportation (INTRANT), as the key management institution for the sector. In close coordination with the counterpart, this TC is expected to generate empirical evidence and support the design and fulfillment of the actions contemplated in the components of the DR-L1140 Program.
