Technical Support for the Comprehensive Reform of the Housing and Urban Planning Sector in the Dominican Republic
The objective of this technical cooperation is to support the Government of the Dominican Republic in the reform of the housing and urban development sector and to propose more accessible and green housing solutions.The specific objectives are to: (i) analyze and evaluate the main challenges in the production of and access to housing for the low-income population; (ii) design policies and programs to expand access to housing for the low-income population, as well as to good quality built environments and basic services; and (iii) formulate and update rules, regulations and processes that improve the functioning of the housing sector, strengthening national and municipal public institutions.
