Support to the Dominican Republic Poverty Assessment

The objective of this TC is to support the Government of the Dominican Republic in developing adequate analytical tools to improve targeting of social sector programs and access of the most disadvantaged groups to basic and quality services. This objective would be achieved through: (i) development of an updated poverty map; (ii) development of the analytical tools required for the implementation of a beneficiary identification system for social programs (especially social assistance/social protection programs) including an ex-ante analysis of the distributional impact of its implementation; and (iii) analysis of demand and supply side determinants of the exclusion of vast number of the adolescents from secondary education.
