The overall objective of the program is to contribute to national economic growth by strengthening the connectivity of the transport and logistics network through improvements in the climate resilience of the infrastructure. The specific objectives are: (i) to offer safe, reliable, and accessible mobility services that facilitate access to markets and basic services for the population; (ii) to reduce transport and logistics costs to increase the productivity and competitiveness of key sectors such as industry, commerce, tourism, and agriculture; (iii) to comprehensively strengthen the strategic and critical points of the transport network that make up the National Logistics System (NLS) (main logistics corridors, local roads, bridges); (iv) to increase the resilience of the transport system to extreme weather events; and (v) to strengthen institutions in the transport and logistics sector.
