Regional Malaria Elimination Initiative in Dominican Republic - Second Phase

The objective of this Investment Grant (IGR) is to continue supporting the country in its goal of eliminating malaria by improving malaria management in endemic, remote, or outbreak areas, such as the current outbreaks of Azua, Elías Piña, and San Juan. The specific objectives are: (i) to increase access to timely, high-quality diagnosis and treatment for malaria at community level; and (ii) to improve the reporting and investigation of malaria cases and ensure the implementation of actions to prevent, control, and eliminate the disease.
