PDF-B Integrated Management of Marine and Coastal Resources in Puntarenas

The global objective of the proposed project is to strengthen local, regional and national capacity to facilitate conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity of global importance that depends on the integrity of the coastal and marine ecosystems of the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The specific objective is: consolidation of the necessary actions of integrated planning and management of the marine and coastal zone and related ecosystems in the Golfo de Nicoya and Pacífico Sur Multiple Use Marine Areas to conserve biodiversity, sustain environmental services, and provide a basis for sustainable socioeconomic development.
