Fiscal Sustainability Support Program
The objective of this programmatic series and the first operation is to strengthen fiscal sustainability by controlling expenditure and modernizing the tax system. The specific objectives are to: (i) improve the effectiveness of the macrofiscal institutional framework; (ii) increase the efficiency of tax system management; and (iii) improve efficiency in public expenditure management (employment, administrative reform, and judicial pensions). This is the first of two operations under the programmatic policy-based loan modality, to consist of two contractually independent and technically linked loans.
