Participatory Environmental Zoning for Environmental Planning and Territorial Governance.

The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to promote environmental planning and territorial governance in areas affected by high deforestation rates and socio-environmental conflicts in PDET municipalities, through participatory processes that contribute to the sustainable use of land, the stabilization of the agricultural frontier, and the protection of areas of environmental importance. To achieve this objective, the following specific objectives are proposed: (i) strengthen local capacities to carry out and manage participatory environmental zoning (ZAP), promoting the participation and coordination of community and institutional stakeholders; and (ii) implement sustainable productive alternatives that promote the development of rural families, productive transformation, and the protection of natural resources.
