Support for gender mainstreaming and diversity

The objective of this TC is to strengthen equality and equity policies and programs aimed at women and diverse populations in Colombia, through actions that promote economic autonomy, foster the equitable redistribution of care work, improve the prevention and response to gender-based violence and human trafficking, and ensure equitable, inclusive, and culturally appropriate access to services and opportunities. The specific objectives are:
(i) Strengthen women's economic autonomy and promote the equitable redistribution of care work through the piloting and scaling up of income‑generation and labor‑market access initiatives, the development of financial‑inclusion instruments, and the enhancement of institutional capacities for the provision of care services and the promotion of opportunities for caregivers.
(ii) Strengthen institutional response and community capacities for the prevention of gender‑based violence and human trafficking, through the consolidation of the Registration and Monitoring System (SALVIA) and cultural‑change strategies; and
(iii) Improve equitable, inclusive, and culturally appropriate access to essential services for Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and persons with disabilities, through the strengthening of institutional capacities and information systems for planning and adaptation of services.
